For anyone needing some good reads, you should check out the "His Dark Materials" triology by Philip Pullman. It starts with "The Golden Compass" also called "Northern Lights" and is about another world similar to ours. It's supposedly a children's book - like Harry Potter but it's definately much more intense and has a deeper meaning to it all. If book club was still happening, this would be the ultimate book to discuss. Well, really it'd be the ultimate set of books to discuss. Check them out.
