I’m very happy to report that the remix dance version of one of my favourite Steve Winwood’s songs, “Call on Me”, is back on top of the official UK top 40 chart.
I never realized that it is actually a big deal, like in “Love Actually,” which song is the on the top of the chart for Christmas. This year, the speculation is that it will be a version of “Father and Son” by Cat Stevens and Ronan Keating. I’m anxious to hear this version. The new Simon Cowell TV reality show, “The X Factor” has decided to not release the winners single to compete for the coveted spot as the producers want to guarantee it comes out at No 1 and the best chance is to release it a week later, when competition is generally less fierce.
