Miss Mel K from Waterloo is definately the winner. Please note that they were not dressed up for this picture, it is from Oktoberfest apparently (note the leiderhosen on Nic the Cowardly Lion).

Things I wish I knew about artists I like earlier than this weekend past...
Damien Rice - that he has the song 'Lonelily.' Who knew he had a song that was more upbeat but still lyrically and aesthetically great.
Martina Sorbara – she has left her solo pop-folk career and is the lead singer of an electro-pop group called Dragonette (with her husband).

Wow. Blogart is taking off. Aaron has sent this in and says this is "Aaron as the scarecrow with a smiley sun in the background and a very angry Elphaba."
If anyone wants to become the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, Toto, Nessarose, The Wizard, a winged monkey, a munchkin, or any other characters please feel free to go crazy.

My friend Emily accepted Aaron's challenge to turn into Glinda. Here is her magnificent artwork. I feel as though I have been put to shame by Emily's fantastic creation. Isn't she the sassiest Glinda ever? Of course, with the look to the side - total sass! I'm already trying to think what fun art I can do next.

Dear Abercrombe & Fitch and Hollister,
Why are your stores so similar? Are you owned by the same company? Why is the lighting so dark? I thought A&F you were dark but then I went into Hollister and I needed a flashlight. Maybe it's to make your very young staff look hot. Well it worked wonders as I drolled over your very nice changeroom boy, until I saw him in better lighting at A&F. That's my other question, why are all your employees from your seperate stores friends with each other?

The oreo's are all gone. No one got it right. I have purchased another family sized pack for myself since no one else gets it. Yummy.

Reading this blog may change your life!
For the past two weeks I have received three identical junk mail envelopes. It's a simple plain white envelope that says on the front "Opening this envelope may change your life!" I discarded the first two without bothering to open them, but then today when the third one arrived I figured it was some kind of sign from the fates and opened up. I crossed my fingers curious to know what was in store for changing my life. Actually, I just figured it might give me something funny to blog about.
There were three items inside: first item is a flyer for Life 1st Clinics - which is a weight loss company. Apparently if I join before March 31st, I can have a full week of Healthy Gourmet Meals (not sure why this was capitalized) delivered to my door for FREE! The second item was a flyer/questionnaire for LifeMates. A few questions on it that apparently will help me find my soul mate (but first I should visit Life 1st clinics to shed a few pounds?) However, there was a disclaimer on the survey that reads "This is intended for single people only. If you are presently married or in a committed relationship, please pass this profile on to a single friend who would like to have someone special in their life." Interestingly, they ask your gender but not what gender you're interested in dating. The third item is a postage-paid envelope to send back my Lifemates survey. Well I'm going to send back the survey as completed below.

I have finished reading Wicked. In honour of this momentous occasion, I have done some fan art of my own. My apologies and kudos to Aaron (not the one on my blog list, but the Wicked fan I previously blogged about). This is me as Elphaba with the yellow brick road and twister as background elements.

Celebrity news I can't handle right now: Katie Holmes ask Posh Spice to be her birthing partner. How did these two ever become friends? Johnny nailed it on the head by guessing that Beckham and Tom Cruise are keeping something secret and need their own alone time. Although would Becks really settle for Tom?
Other interesting celebrity rumor mill item: David Beckham never wears the same pair of underwear twice.

So lately I have developed a thing for Wicked - it's a book and also a musical about the Wicked Witch of the West (from Wizard of Oz). I have finally started to read my book of it and now also started listening to the music. My current debate is...do I go by myself to see the musical when it returns to Canada in a really good seat by myself or go with someone else in 2 ok seats. People who have seen it, tell me I should just see it twice.
So this may sound odd - but in order to prove I am not a crazy fan, I went to the fansite to compare myself to others. Rather, I really just stumbled upon the fan site. There, I found the following piece of goodness from Aaron (age 13, Canada). Aaron writes
"In all of my spare time I find stuff to do involving WICKED. Usually I read, or I listen to the WICKED Music. But I decided to take a picture of me and paint it to look like Elphaba and the Yellow Brick Road leading to The Emerald City. It's meant to be at The Pine Barrens, near the centre of Oz. Attached is the Original picture, and the Ozian one. Hope you like it!"

For those of you who were wondering, Dolly Parton turned 60 this year. (back in January, today is NOT her birthday)

Thanks to My Heritage.com I was able to see what celebrities I look like. I, of course, selected my favourite/best looking photo for comparison and came out as a 59% match with Avi Nimni. I don't even know who he is and find it hard to beleive he is match. Yikes.
Other celebs who matched this photo were Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson (who I always mix up who was in what movie) as well as Prince William.

At age 7, I looked like Juliette Binoche - although our match was under 50% - she was the highest celeb match I had.
Really I looked like a third McGowan twin if you ask me. (Heather & Kristy, send your pics this way and we can compare)

Ah yes, my best match is with the fabulous Sarah Jessica Parker. We are a 71% match.
Can't you see the similarities?

Today I bought a large family-size value pack of Oreos. I am a single male who lives alone. How long will these Oreos last? It's a contest (to welcome me back into the blogworld). Post your answers and the winner will get their very own bag of oreos. I won't check the answers until the bag is gone, so that way I can't be accused of gorging on the wondeful cookies or eating them slowly to see my favourite blogreader win.
Hints: Oreo is my favourtie cookie.
The exact size of the bag is 550g.
I have already eaten 3 and I just got home.
I will be away this weekend and thus not have access to the cookies.
I generally take 2 cookies for lunch each day.
