Best Six Feet Under EVER!!! Sharon and I finally got around to the last two episodes of season three. Hands down, season finale was top notch (even without a serious cliffhanger). I felt like a little knob when the tears first appeared but then could relax once I found out Sharon had them happening too! It's all because we have such a history with these characters. Definately much more history built up than with characters on other shows. Again though, throws me for a loop about who is the best character. This episode it was easily all Claire!
Was also very excited to see Justin Theroux in it, and not terribly excited at all about James Cromwell.

Headed to a kegger on Saturday. Same kegger that you may have read about elsewhere. It was a great time, good mix of people from all around there. Too bad about the po-po and ticketing various folks. Once that started happening, Dre, Jess and I tried to make it down to Ren via Route 7. However, due to lotso construction we couldn't find the correct bus stop and cabbed 'er down. Ren was a great busy size full of cuties. It was great to go again with the girls as they are such fun dancers. Not too much drama, besides some guy approaching me thinking I was housemate Chris but when I explained we were housemates, he asked me what's up with Chris and his housemate. I was kind of confused but muddled through my answer, I saw muddled bcause I may have been slighly drooling as I spoke. I also got a few cheap shots from shooter boy as it turns out he's someone I work with at one of my jobs. Andréa apparently was as quick as a fox and whileI was chatting with shooter boy, she swiped a three shots off his tray and downed them. She was so quick, I didn't even see her! Eventually, after witnessing terrible underwear-pants-down-box-dancing we left and went to Ginos with Chris and Mofo, with kudos to Justin for the drive.

A lack of updating is because I haven't done anything exciting, and I fear being called a borring person. My current predicament is trying to make a decision about my future. I am contemplating getting involved with something (NOT someone) that MAY keep me in Waterloo until April 2005. That almost makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it. But at the same time it'd be a great opportunity and lots of fun. But then again the majority of my friends will be out of this city next year. As well, this would mean cancelling on Amy and our temporary move to BC in January. Now this decision doesn't have to be made tonight but if I do end up staying here in January then I'll take courses then, thus I could drop a course this term to make life easier. The no penalty drop period ends tomorrow so I need to make a decision tomorrow on that. Worse case scenario, I drop a course now and end up moving to BC and take a course by distance ed next term.

Getting up early so I could have breakfast before work turned out to not be such a great idea. I awoke early and got dressed and ready for Ground Zero in record time. The problem being that now it was too early to leave for work so I got back into bed for another 10 minutes. But then I get a call from work "Adam, are you coming in today?" I say yes, at 8pm when I am supposed to. "And what time is it Adam now?" I look over to the clock and somehow it is now 8:15, apparently I passed right out in bed again (so sleepy in fact I didnt even hear the phone ring). Luckily I was dressed and ready to go. With my trusty bike, I was there in 5 minutes. Good thing I made it in because today was a killer busy day (which means a killing in tips finally).

Something I learnt about Miss America, blondes are way out and brunettes are way in. Now I can sleep better at nights. As I watched the show that is Miss America, I thought to myself that despite the enjoyment derived from it, it's really quite silly. The interesting thing is how many people take beauty pagenants, or Scholarship Programs, very seriously.
Working tomorrow at Pier 1 at 7am. OUCH. No busses even run that early. I am enjoying working there, mainly because the other employees are fun for the most part. I'm getting just engough hours there to balance with my other jobs and school. My only problem is I am not using time alotted to schoolwork to actually do schoolwork, I usually end up hanging out with the housemates. This week my goal is to get back into my super-organized self and catch up on 2 weeks worth of readings. Perhaps i'll finally buy my last book as well.

Yeah, so I thought drinking would be a wise idea while I am still feeling under the weather. Last night, after work and having not eaten dinner, I came home and drank a rather large glass of wine with Housemate Chris, Andréa, and Melissa. Then while we waited for the girls to return from making a purchase from the neighbours, Chris and I had another drink before the four of us finally trekked out to Jane Bond to meet up with Johnny. My head was already spinning when we arrived yet I went ahead with another 2 drinks. I learnt the Hawksley Workman show tomorrow night is sold out. :( It's ok as I think Miss America is on anyhow.
I was a little bit skeptical before watching the new Survivor but it was definately enjoyable. How can you not totally be rooting for the Drake tribe - the one with the spanish chiquita. They work together so well and share each others fashionable clothes. I did enjoy Morgan boys showing all though. Now Jeff Probst has said 2 things happen on this Survivor season that have never happened before and they were good things. It can't be getting naked in a challenge (as Heidi and Jenna did this in the amazon) so it very well could be someone quitting next week. My other hopeful is that the merge occurs after one tribe loses all 6 challenges.
Looking forward to this evening, I have the house to myself to just kick back and relax. With this weather, it'll be even more enjoyable.

My lack of sleep last week left my body ripe for the infection of another sickness. Luckily I am nowhere near as bad as fake-mono. I think fake-mono made me tougher and better able to handle these small sicknesses. I just really like to milk sympathy out of other people, that is my evil trait I think. Anyone know of any other way I am evil?
I am having a tough time getting settled into my courses. The one I am enjoying the most is definately sign language, too bad I don't get a credit for it. There are so many fun people in the course and I can tell Doreen really likes us. I think I have figured out most of the other peoples names but the one girl insists on spelling her name Bowie. That can't be right. We also have Slexia. What a good name to mess up, luckily Chumpee Christine corrected her.
I am very glad that Crapnadian Idol is over, along with For Love or Money, and next week we part ways with Big Brother. My TV schedule is clearing right up. It'll just be about Alias, and the typical Thursday night.

Wow. A mood has just come over me. One of those very introspective moods. I earlier read Macleans article on the up and coming Under 30 year olds and it just really made me think about what I am doing with my life. I am about to finish school with no real career goals. My only ambition is to be motivated and not waste my life. I know I have the potential to be sucessful at something, but what?
I'm supposed to head out to BC in January for an undetermined length of time (but really like 5-8 months) but I feel kind of gross doing so not knowing what my plans are for when I return home. I've really been thinking long and hard about getting into Res Life management, which I would enjoy, but there isn't really room to grow. Then I have also thought about returning to school for accounting, as that would open doors to many industires. I could get into something I was interested in and move up. But that would be 2 years of schooling plus another 2.5 years of working to get my CA. Although ultimately of course I would love to go on a reality tv show and become a sub-lebrity.

Well I have almost recovered from last night out at Bomber. Having to work at Peir 1 for 8:30 was rough times. But after working all day and now working in V2, I haven't had the chance to talk to people about last night and recount the details. This is always fun and a good way to tie up some loose ends. I did get some of this in with Sharon but I still need more (and not engough of the kids there are bloggers too) so I'll use my blog to relay some events.
We began at 2:30 with Andréa, Sharon, Nic and I gettting bouncers to carry chairs out onto the patio for us and us thinking we should drink a glass of water between our beers (that of course didn't happen). Then we were joined by Sex Columist Michelle and some of my former residents out at CLT. Then slowly people began to show up and our table grew and grew and grew. I think our table was probably the best one going on. Matt posted a good recall of the basics we all went through. So you either got to chill on the patio or go inside and dance. No running inside quick when they played the good music.
It felt so amazing to be there and not be a don. I did speak to past dons I know but it was different. More so like my friends are back on the inside now and the dons are on the outside whereas when I was donning I think I kind of reversed that, unfortunately.
I did eventually get stuck inside - or rather I gave up as I could tell I needed to be at home. So, I literally stumbled home with Johnny Gap. He decided to throw a frisbee at a skunk and we ended up having to hunt the frisbee down in the bushes. At home we hung out with Housemate Chris for awhile before Nic came home. Nic talked about driving home in his silly state (he earlier had left Bomber to go to Phils) but we told him to lay down and he was soon fast asleep. We too were basically fast asleep. I woke up to see the lights still on and us sleeping on top of the sheets. Didn't even hear Andréa when she came home which is quite surprising. Luckily, all of our keys, my camera and all of us survived the adventure. Now to see what the first night out at Ren throws our way.

Good on ya, Mark Brunett. They have been pumping up this "marooning unlike any other" of the castaways for Survivor 7, but it seems it's not terribly exciting. It definately is a step in the right direction though. They are kicking the castaways off the boat with literally only the clothes they are wearing. Some TV ads show them wearing tiny bits of the same fabric. I was really hoping they would sink the ship on them or else have them parachute out of a plane that was nose-diving. This is good engough to tide us over till the All Stars Survivor. I really can't decide what CBS reality show I would like to do most, Survivor, Big Brother, or The Amazing Race. First I need to marry an American though, so maybe I should have checked into Cupid first.

I am nearing the end of my latest novel and I am getting worried. The main characters are very enjoyable and I really don't want anything to happen to them but there has been so much foreshadowing, I can't see them living happily ever after. I read the first half the book very quickly because it's so engrossing but have slowed my pace right down because I don't want it to end.
I've never really cared much before for characters in a novel but I find myself getting mad at the main character for being so stupid sometimes. The book itself is a combination of Godfather meets The Great Gatsby says the author and in fact it is being read at some universities/colleges in the states as an alternate for The Great Gatsby. I know noone has time to do pleasure reading but as a future note, it's called "The Gold Coast" and is written by Nelson DeMille.

So for the weekend, we played house. Andréa did the cooking and cleaning. I did the house sprucing up (ie painting), and Chris was handyman (setting the BBQ, and stereo up). Yesterday we enjoyed steaks and pototoes (sp?) cooked over the BBQ and some delicious wine on the porch. After dinner I returned to my labour of love, Princess Spanish Rosa's Bathroom Fiesta. Day One was painting the walls a nice bright white (found under the bathroom sink) and I learnt that old random paint fumes and wine are an intresting combination. Later in the evening, Dre went out to Elements and Mikey came over to drink some wine and chill out, but Dre quickly came back home, having not had a good time out. So we sat around drinking it up till wee hours in the morning. I returned to painting today and did a second coat on the walls and the first coat of the ceiling and the trim (both which will be a dark red/pink color). I go quickly from being super ambitious about it to being totally anti-Spanish Rosa. Can't wait to waiter tomorrow at GZ and go for an interview at Pier One.

Last night Myron (aka Toque Boy) came up for a visit. We rented Swimfan, (a good waste of time), and ate cheesecake. The orginal idea was that I would be home alone and bored to tears but I was surprised as Housemate Chris moved in last night for good! Then this afternoon while forcing Myron to watch Six Feet Under (the pilot) Andréa showed up! Apparently she had called to warn us but we were clueless - I wanted to hang out with that little girl but I had company to entertain. Turns out it may have been smarter to just have left things be and Myron in Toronto. Now I must leave my fun housemates and go in for my last 10 hour shift out at CLT. On Monday I have an interview for Pier One! Really hoping I will be able to balance three part time jobs, but I fear I may not be able to do the sign language course. Only time will tell.

It's slighty fun not checking email for a few days, although it drives me crazy not being able to check. Although I had 26 new emails, 10 were real ones! It was such a nice ratio change. I also had to get back up to date with the blog world. This has only been since Sunday night that I was without net connection, what the hell will I do when I head out to BC and won't even have a computer or let alone money to pay for internet??
Good news kinda, Ground Zero is openning again. Good news for me because I got back in without any problems and will be working MWF's. The catch, it's now strictly a breakfast cafe. Open from about 7:30-11am each morning. It may turn out to be a rough scedule when one job = late nights and the other job = early mornings. But the best news about this job is it should allow me to take the sign language course and yoga as well as I will have most weekends off! I just hope tips are as decent as they were last time and it'll be a great term. And it won't be the same without some of my regular customers.

I need a dosage of friends. After spending 10 hours working here at REV and hanging with dons, I miss donning. But I know that as soon as I get a chance to chill with friends again I will be reminded of why I didn't want to don this term. It just really sucks I am home alone until Friday and there aren't too many people who's scedhules jive with mine this week.
I'm not saying some of the dons aren't also friends but I mean I need to hang out with people who aren't dons. And ohhhh, how great this new speaker system is at the caf. Hopefully CLT will have MSN at work on Tuesday to make up for lack of music.
